Although we love our exclusive Mist range and other hire tartans here at MacGregor and MacDuff, there is something extra special about having the freedom to choose any tartan you like. When it comes to hiring a kilt outfit, your choice can sometimes be quite limited, but not when you opt for our Choose Any Tartan kilt hire. Have your groomsmen match you in your clan tartan or select a range of tartans that are special to you. Whatever you decide, restrictions are a thing of the past, be it your wedding day or a black tie evening. The options don’t just stop at tartans, we have plenty of jackets and waistcoats for you to cherry pick from too. This hire package includes a Prince Charlie, Argyll or tweed jacket and matching waistcoat. Traditional or contemporary, it’s up to you.
What’s included?
The kilt may be the most important part of your highlandwear outfit but our hire any tartan package also includes everything else you need to complete your look. Get ready to walk down the aisle or hit the dance floor with accessories such as a sporran, sgian dubh, brogues and socks all included. You can upgrade any of your accessories if you have a more specific style in mind and can add on items like a new shirt or even a plaid.
When should I place my order?
Although our Choose Any Tartan service works in the same way as standard hires, a brand new 7-yard kilt will be crafted specifically for you. This means that the order process will take a little longer than our usual hire outfits. You should allow up to 12 weeks for your outfit to be completed and we recommend making an appointment at one of our stores in order to have it fitted to perfection. If you live further afield than Scotland or aren’t sure you can make it to a store, our virtual appointments allow you to enjoy the kilt shop experience from the comfort of your own home. All you need is a tape measure and a laptop, our expert stylists will do the rest!
